Situated on Waikiki Beach, and offering a slew of recreational and services, the Outrigger Reef on the Beach provides the quintessential Hawaiian getaway, and is approximately 10 miles from Honolulu International Airport. Local attractions include downtown Honolulu, approximately four miles away, and Diamond Head, located two miles from the property.
Several beach activities are available just outside the hotel's door, including surfing lessons, catamaran sailing, and canoe rides. Cultural opportunities include Na Alii Cultural Walking Tour, flower lei making, and live Hawaiian entertainment. The hotel features an outdoor swimming pool complete with a large sundeck and a whirlpool. Serenity Spa Hawaii features a menu of massage therapies and beauty treatments, including massages on the beach. Other amenities include an ATM, beach services, 24-hour self service business center (for a fee), laundry facilities, elevators, fitness center, valet parking (for a fee), ice machine, laundry services, tour assistance, postcards, 24-hour front desk, and a telephone card vending machine. Dining options include the Ocean House Restaurant, the Shore Bird Restaurant, and a Starbucks.
New Ocean Tower guest rooms feature Ipod/MP3 connections, cable TV, movies on-demand, video games, coffeemakers, telephones, dataports, voicemail, hairdryers, safes, irons and ironing boards, and refrigerators. The Outrigger Connection is included at no additional fee, covering free high-speed access in rooms, wireless in lobby, free calls to the U.S. Mainland and Canada.
Renovation will continue with the Pacific Tower will be under construction through 2008. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel. Renovation continues on Diamond Head tower. Through January 4, 2009 the pool will be closed for resurfacing. A $100 dining voucher will be offered on stays 4+ nights. Guest may use the pools at Outrigger Waikiki and Embassy Suites during the pool closure.Room service is no longer available. This is now a smoke-free hotel.
